FAQ + Policy

Everything you'd ask over coffee

General
Will extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not the way Sam applies them. Every natural lash is isolated and matched to a weight it can carry, so your growth cycle continues unharmed. Damage comes from bad application — that's exactly what careful, unhurried work prevents.
What look suits me — Anime, Wispy, or a Lash Lift?
That's what your consultation is for. Eye shape, natural lash strength, and your morning routine all factor in — then Sam maps a set (or a lift) that's yours alone. Browse the style pages for a feel of each.
What's the difference between Lite and Luxe?
Two tiers of the same artistry. Lite is a lighter density and a shorter appointment; Luxe is the full expression — maximum detail and depth. You choose together at your consult.
How long do appointments take?
Full sets run 2–2.5 hours, fills about an hour, lash lifts about an hour. You'll be lying down with your eyes closed the whole time — most clients nap.
Booking & Policy
Do I need a deposit to book?
Yes — a $25 deposit holds your spot and comes off your service total. It's transferable if you reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice.
What if I'm running late or need to cancel?
There's a 15-minute grace period — after that the appointment may need to be shortened or rebooked so the next client isn't affected. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the deposit; no-shows are charged 50% of the service.
Can I bring a friend or my kids?
The studio is a one-artist, one-client space — please come solo. It keeps the room calm and the work precise (and it's why appointments feel like a nap, not a salon).
Do you fill work from other studios?
Case by case. Book a foreign-fill consult first — if the existing work is healthy and compatible, Sam will fill it; if not, she'll recommend a fresh set and explain why.
Aftercare
How do I care for a new set?
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours, then cleanse daily with the oil-free wash from your aftercare kit and brush upward with the spoolie. That's it — the routine takes under a minute.
What products should I avoid?
Anything oil-based near your eyes — cleansers, makeup removers, heavy creams. Oil breaks down the adhesive. Skip mascara entirely and put the lash curler in a drawer forever.
Can I swim, work out, or use a sauna?
After the first 24 hours, yes to all three. Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water, and cleanse after heavy sweat — retention will thank you.
Is sleeping on my face really a problem?
Side- and stomach-sleepers do shed faster on the pillow side. A silk pillowcase helps a lot; back sleeping helps most. Sam will look at your shed pattern at fills and adjust.
Fills & Retention
When should I book a fill?
Every 2–3 weeks, while you still have about 40% of your set. Past that point, there isn't enough to build on and you'll need a fresh full set.
Why do my lashes shed — is something wrong?
Nothing's wrong — natural lashes shed a few per day on their own cycle, and extensions ride along. Seasonal sheds (spring and fall) are real and temporary.
How do I make my set last longer?
Clean lashes retain best: daily oil-free cleansing, no picking or rubbing, no mascara. Consistent fills every 2–3 weeks keep the set looking like day one indefinitely.
